Something every eBay seller should do is setup an about me page; don't worry it's easier than you think if you haven't set one up before.

An about me page allows sellers to have an exit point from eBay to that sellers personal website, now there are restrictions on what your about me page can link to, so make sure you follow the guidelines.

The major guideline is simple, don't link to an about me page that sells something outside of eBay. It is ok however, to link to a lead page or article/information about you and your business, which can then link to other things you sell (of course be sure to double check eBay's guidelines as they can change at anytime).

When setup correctly your about me page can get your business more leads, more customers and overall make it more profitable.

To setup an about me page, the first thing you should do is login to your eBay account, on the right you'll see a "site map" link, click on that.

On the right near the middle bottom of the page it says "Connect" with "About me" underneath, click about me, then click the yellow "Click Here" button near the bottom of the page to get started.

There's a few templates to choose from or you can simply create one in HTML, then paste it into the editor and it will make your page as you made it in your favorite HTML editor.

One tip for your about me page, if you join eBay's affiliate program called the eBay Partner network, and put a link back to eBay on the site your "About me" page links to, you can earn extra commission when they make a purchase on eBay in the next 7 days.
